Trump nominates Gustafson to be EEOC’s top lawyer
President Trump has nominated Washington, D.C.-area attorney Sharon Fast Gustafson to be the new general counsel to the EEOC. The general counsel is the commission’s top litigator. The position has been vacant since December 2016.
Gustafson was part of the legal team that won the Young v. UPS decision before the U.S. Supreme Court. In that case, the court expanded the protections of the Pregnancy Discrimination Act.
