OVERVIEW: Assists patrons with personal services.  Takes messages; arranges or gives advice on transportation, business services, or entertainment; and passes on guest requests for housekeeping and maintenance.

OVERVIEW: Manages and coordinates the many functions of the hotel to achieve a profitable operation and provide high-quality services for guests.

OVERVIEW: Operates the front desk, assists guests with registration and checkout, and handles requests for rooms received by phone, e-mail, or customers at desk.  Provides information to guests concerning rates, availability of rooms, description of facilities and services, and information about area attractions and sight-seeing opportunities.

OVERVIEW: Supervises work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms in the lodging facility.  Assigns duties, inspects work, investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.  Purchases housekeeping supplies and equipment, takes periodic inventories, screens applicants, trains new employees, and recommends dismissals.
