4 keys to leading self-managing teams

Even self-managing teams need leaders. Why? Because they need a leader to perform four distinct functions:
  1. Establish key relationships between the team and the broader organization.
  2. Scout for, and provide, needed information.
  3. Persuade the team and outside constituents to support one another.
  4. Empower team members and provide resources.
