HR field ranks high in survey of job potential
There’s good news for some HR pros in a new study by WalletHub, a company that provides personal finance tools and advice. In a survey of the employment prospects of people engaged in a variety of professions, WalletHub found:
- Employee-relations specialists have the highest income growth potential of any of the 100 jobs the study analyzed, more than three times higher than that of bank tellers, who came in last. Growth potential was defined as the difference between average starting pay and projected highest pay. Employment law attorneys also ranked high, placing fifth overall in income growth potential.
- Benefits administrators have the longest median tenure with their employers, 6.3 years. That’s two times higher than certified occupational therapist assistants, the job with the shortest tenure, 3.1 years.
