We’ve all heard how social media seems to be making us all just a little bit unhappier by forcing us to constantly compare our lives to others’. But let’s be real here—we’re not about to give up Facebook! So as long as our soft addictions aren’t going anywhere, let’s all get on a “diet” of sorts:

No more reactionary posting. Did someone upset you with a comment or an opinion? You’re welcome to vent—in 24 hours, after you’ve settled down.

No more late-night responses. We get more emotional in the wee hours. If there’s not full daylight coming through the window, walk away.

No more hunting for things to anger you. Looking for fun and friendship? Have at it. Looking to set people straight? Unplug.
