Kaplan named NLRB chair

President Trump has appointed Marvin E. Kaplan to succeed Philip Miscimarra as chair of the National Labor Relations Board. Kaplan joined the NLRB last August.

For now, the NLRB has four members—two Republicans, two Democrats—so expect little labor relations action until Trump formally nominates and the Senate confirms Republican management-side lawyer John Ring to fill the board’s fifth seat.
