Hearings to confirm fast-food executive Andrew Puzder as the Trump administration’s Secretary of Labor have been postponed, and may not occur until February, according to staffers with the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.

They blamed the delay on the generally slow pace of the confirmation process this year, including tough HELP Committee questioning of Education Secretary nominee Betsy DeVos.

Despite opposition from labor and women’s groups, Puzder is still expected to win confirmation.
