Keyboard Shortcuts: OneNote

Some shortcuts work the same across many Office applications, including OneNote.

Alt+Shift+D – This shortcut works well when you’re taking meeting notes or recording any item in a table that requires the entry date, such as the date of a customer interaction.

Alt+Shift+T – On its own or with Alt+Shift+D, Alt+Shift+T enters the time. Think about tracking customer calls from start to finish with any associated notes, so you know how long you’re spending with each one. Use the next one to record links to solutions (or where they should be).

Ctrl+K – Like in other Microsoft applications, Ctrl+K allows you to insert a link. In OneNote, you’ll come to a dialog box that allows you to hyperlink within your notebook, from another notebook, or paste a link to any other location.
