If you’re planning a panel discussion at your next trade show or industry event, follow these tips:

Collect audience questions up front. Give them to the moderator throughout the discussion.

Select a strong moderator. Whether that is you or someone else, make sure that the person has a pleasant—but forceful—personality.

Establish ground rules. For example, set limits for each person to talk, outline topics that are prohibited and so on.

Schedule a rehearsal. Use the time to practice the flow of the presentation and transitions between speakers.
