Many organizations have turned to Google for their office productivity software needs, leaving the seasoned Office user a bit lost when it comes to more advanced capabilities. However, most of the functionality is still there. Take Google Docs, for example. We’ll look at a few areas where power users of Microsoft Word can find the capabilities they most often depend upon.


Just like in Word, using heading styles can improve the ability to navigate and create things like a table of contents. And, just like in Word, you have a navigation pane on the left that allows you to easily move from topic to topic, as long as it was formatted with a heading style. If you don’t see this pane, click on the Tools dropdown menu and select Document outline.
