NOTE: Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays as observed in the District of Columbia are taken into account to determine due dates. Under the federal deposit rules, you’re allowed a deposit shortfall of the greater of $100 or 2% of your tax liability.

Semiweekly and monthly deposits are for the deposits of FICA and withheld income taxes due on wages paid during the time periods indicated.

Feb. 1    

All employers. Give employees (or post) their copies of Form W-2 for 2015; give retirees their copies of Form 1099-R; give (or post) annual information statements, Forms 1099 Series, to recipients of other payments you made in 2015 (see Feb.16 for attorney forms). File Form 940 for 2015. If the undeposited FUTA tax is $500 or less, you can pay it with your return or deposit it. If it’s more than $500, you must deposit it.
