A discrimination case against Penn State has finally been put on the fast track after 10 years and six attorneys.

Recent case: Ten years ago, Joan sued Penn State, alleging various forms of sex discrimination. Her attorneys over the decade have obtained numerous records showing salaries of other employees. Then, her sixth attorney—on the last day of discovery—made a new, massive request for more records going back many more decades in an effort to prove pay discrimination.

The court nixed the request and said the case must proceed with the information already produced. (Summy-Long v. The Pennsylvania State University, No. 1:06-CV-1117, MD PA, 2015)
