Miller: Over the last four years, I’ve learned the most important thing is giving the right people the right culture. Once we hire talented people, how do we go about keeping them inspired toward our vision? It’s going beyond perks to building an effective culture.

EL: How do you build an effective culture?  

Miller: When you’re a small group of people, everyone knows the core values. As you get bigger, it gets hard. We host a company retreat every year and define specific core values that are key to doing business. You have to continue to work on those values and reinforce them.
