It’s bad for your psyche to question every decision you make. Besides, once you’ve made a decision, you must live with the outcome, and you should spend your time focusing on delivering the best possible outcome, rather than worrying.

Stop stressing about your decision, and remember that:

•  You likely have an out. Most decisions aren’t irreversible, and you typically can alter your plans and makes tweaks along the way to overcome obstacles.

•  You can’t predict the future. Complete your due diligence and make an informed decision. Just remember that all the planning in the world could lead to a bad outcome. Still, trust your instincts and make a decision.

•  One bad decision won’t destroy your career. Few decisions are so heinous that they result in terminations, especially when you have made an informed decision. One thing is certain though: If you don’t take risks, you may never realize your full potential, and that is worse than failing.
