  1. “How can I be a better leader?” Simple as that.
  2. “Thank you.” You might be surprised by how infrequently this is said.
  3. “Nice job.” Variations include “Good work” and “Way to go.” Make sure it’s true before you say it.
  4. “What do you think?” Maybe the most valuable phrase of all, this is a demonstration of respect.
