Team members don’t always expect to be right. They also don’t expect you to adopt all their ideas. However, if they’re going to feel empowered, you must show that you value their thoughts and contributions.

Don’t be the type of boss who asks team members for ideas in reaching a decision, takes time to mull it over, then announces a decision without sharing your thought process. That robs them of a development opportunity and devalues their contributions.
