Sales pitches need to be intriguing and unique. Make yours stand out with these tips:
- Customize it. The same presentation won’t work for every audience. Create several versions for various target audiences. Learn to be flexible and leave space in your pitch where you can tailor it with points that most interest each group or person.
- Appear natural. Don’t write out your pitch completely. You can do that to help you remember it, but carry only bullet points with you on notecards. Doing so allows for freer, more natural speech and conversation.
- Treat it like a story. Plan a strong start, middle and ending. Tell customers why your product or service matters to them and what they can gain by trying it out. Make it personal for you and the client.
- Use visuals. Find a video, picture or article that supports your message or illustrates your product’s or service’s benefits. Use it during your pitch for a bigger impact.
