Don’t underestimate the power of networking. Interacting with others and building connections can further your career and create business opportunities for your organization. Spend just 30 minutes each day doing one of the following:

  1. Make a phone call. Call past, present or prospective clients and offer to answer any questions they may have. Or check in with a vendor or other industry contact.
  2. Blog. Write blogs that are relevant to your business. Then reach out to similar bloggers and volunteer to be a guest blogger on their blogs and invite them to write posts for your blog. Actively comment on blogs that are relevant to your business too. You’ll connect with people who are interested in your business and build your name recognition.
  3. Engage on social media. Don’t just post; comment and share on other people’s posts too.
  4. Participate in industry forums. Visit the forums often to offer advice and join in discussions. That will build your name recognition among other people in your field or industry.
