A New Jersey woman is suing her former employer, contending she was fired after requesting different hours so she could avoid rush-hour traffic.

The woman’s lawsuit says she suffers from anxiety and depression that is “aggravated by crowded roadways experienced during the heavy traffic of rush hour.” Her employer, Fulton Financial Corp., briefly altered her hours.

After a leave of absence in 2013, she returned to work to find her duties diminished. Then she was terminated, which she says was retaliation for requesting an ADA accommodation.
