Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour, to standard time, at 2 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 2.

Employees working the graveyard shift will actually work nine hours and must be paid for that time. You must also count that extra hour toward their entitlement to overtime.

Caution: Some employers in Alaska, California and Nevada must pay overtime after employees work longer than eight hours in one day.
