Executives: America’s new economic-inequality softies

U.S. executives are more likely than Americans in general to believe that rising economic equality is a problem, according to a new poll by Harris Interactive.

In a survey of 301 corporate executives at companies with revenues of $1 billion or more, 88% of those polled agreed that economic inequality is a problem, compared to 79% of others who were asked about the issue in a similar poll.

What’s more, 81% called inequality an important political issue (compared to the public’s 72%) and 57% said it was an important moral issue (as did 59% of Americans).
