"Bagels!?!" you feel like shouting, to no one in particular. "My team is blowing it over bagels?" Yes, indeed. You've been noticing unease on the team, but you couldn't figure out why. The company's results are good, everyone's fairly compensated, and no one's job is in jeopardy for any reason. But internal relationships are not as solid as they could be.

Your firm takes pride in taking care of its employees in ways both large and small. Along with flexible schedules, onsite day care, and generous vacation time, the company provides bagels for every team on every Friday morning. This past week, it dawned on you that Madra and Derek, both of who are scheduled to come in late on Fridays, were sullen and brusque, and the rest of the team refused to deal with them.
