You hang your coat on the rack and glance at your inbox. Sure enough, there's the product satisfaction survey Ishmael conducted for you.

As you expected, it's an immaculately prepared report, neatly bound, with evidence of Ishmael's effort and expertise on every page. Unfortunately, it took two weeks of his time—far more than it's worth, and you really needed it last week.

You glance up to see Ishmael walking by your open door. "Come on in," you tell him. He sits and smiles, glancing proudly at his report in front of you.

"What did you think of it?" he asks.

"I liked it a lot," you reply. Then you pause. "But it came in too late to be part of the trade show package."

"I had a little trouble getting the charts just right," Ishmael tells you, somewhat embarrassed. "Next time, I'm sure it'll go faster."
