One provision in “Obamacare” is designed to prevent companies with insured group health plans from discriminating in favor of top executives. The penalty for noncompliance is severe: $100 per day for each employee who is effectively discriminated against.

This provision was scheduled to take effect in 2014, but now the U.S. Department of the Treasury says penalties won’t be assessed before it issues comprehensive guidance on the new rules.
