Annoying (or Angry or Awkward) CC (from cc: “carbon copy”): When one of two participants in an email exchange suddenly cc’s a third-party, such as a boss, in an effort to gain the advantage in a dispute or undermine the other participant’s position.

According to National Public Radio blogger Elise Hu, an acc is even worse than the dreaded but invisible bcc because it is a “passive-aggressive move that blindsides the original party.”
