Even top dogs can benefit from a little.
Here are three tips from EffectiveMeetings.com:
1. Set aside 15 minutes for planning every day. Prioritizing helps you leverage time, so you can control events instead of veering off course when distractions come along. Sticking to a short list of priorities makes you more productive.
2. Become more computer savvy. Make time to learn by bringing in someone who has the know-how to coach you. Or you can take a course or simply read up.
3. Turn to-dos into appointments. If you need to meet with someone, that meeting automatically gives the task more importance. Why? We defend appointments because we honor people’s time. Also, while to-dos are discretionary and flexible, appointments are time-specific.
