Sleeping on the job isn’t productive, and most employers have rules against it. In some environments, falling asleep on duty is downright dangerous and can result in large fines.

Take, for example, the case of the Peach Bottom nuclear plant run by Chicago-based Exelon Nuclear. That’s where someone videotaped sleeping guards and turned it over to the media. (See “Take it easy: It’s just a couple of nuclear reactors.”)

Now the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has levied a $65,000 fine on Exelon, which has plants in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Illinois.
