If you spend hours a day at your computer, stop and look away at least once every 15 minutes—if only to gaze out the window for 15 seconds or drink some water. Also avoid planting yourself too close to the monitor. While there’s no simple answer that defines the correct distance between you and the screen, here’s a rough test: While sitting at your desk, hold your arm straight out with fingers pointing out. If they touch the screen, you may be too close.
