Just because you don’t love it, though, doesn’t mean you have to leave it. In their book Love It, Don’t Leave It, authors Beverly Kaye and Sharon Jordan-Evans recommend that you make your job more fun by blending the hobbies you love with your work.

Try these ideas:

Cooking? Cook for co-workers. Idea: Offer your baking services to co-workers who need cupcakes for their children’s birthday parties.

Decorating? Pitch in next time the office gets a makeover.

Sports? Coach the company team. Don’t have one? Organize it!

Writing? Start a company newsletter or propose a new column for the existing one.

Theater? Offer to be the master of ceremonies at the staff party.
