At many organizations, work groups are creating Web log (“Blog”)-style pages so they can easily communicate about projects.

The pages are usually not created by IT, but by the group members themselves. They sensed the need for something the organization wasn’t providing, so they created it themselves.

The lesson: Talk to your people about the systems they’ve created to help them succeed, then spread the magic to other groups who could use help.
