“One word expresses the pathway to greatness: voice,” says author Stephen Covey.
Find your voice, and you’ll inspire others to find theirs. Fail to find it, and you’ll be swallowed up by the voices and priorities of others.
Leaders can find their voices by answering four questions:
- What are you good at?
- What do you love doing?
- What need can you serve?
- What is life asking of you? What do you feel like you should be doing? What is your conscience directing you to do?
“People are internally motivated by their own four needs: to live, to love, to learn, to leave a legacy,” Covey says. “When they overlap, you have voice.”
