The IRS is giving employers even more time to amend deferred-compensation plans. Now, employers have until Dec. 31, 2007, to correct the paperwork. That marks the second extension the IRS has granted since Congress passed new guidelines for nonqualified deferredcomp plans. Expect the IRS to issue new regs early next year to help guide the way.
