Q. Can you still contribute to a Roth after age 70½? — M.F.

A. Yes. Contributions can be made to a Roth IRA regardless of age, assuming other requirements are met.

Tip: You can contribute to either a traditional or Roth IRA only if you have “earned income” as opposed to investment income. Thus, retirees may be precluded from making Roth IRA contributions.
