For the fitness-junkie boss, nothing is worse than a day of travel with no time for a workout.

The fact is, though, that many airports are beefing up their facilities to include gyms.

Before her next trip, do a little research to find out what’s available at the airport your boss is flying through. Then, attach the info to her itinerary.

For example, if your boss is flying through ...

  • Las Vegas. The basement at McCarran International’s Terminal C hosts a 24-hour fitness gym. Cost: $10/day; free to members.

  • Vancouver, B.C. An aroundthe- clock gym, Absolute Spa at the Fairmont, sits at the end of the International Terminal. Cost: $15/day. Tip: Three spa-only venues are located in the domestic and international terminals.

  • Detroit. Free weights, treadmills, a pool and Jacuzzi are available 24/7 in the Westin Hotel’s gym, located in the McNamara Terminal. Cost: $15/day.

  • Chicago. Take an underground walkway at O’Hare International to reach the Hilton’s fitness center. Cost: $11/day.
