When a great idea or a notable success emerges, give credit all around:
  1. Praise the department by name.

  2. Praise its leader.

  3. Praise the specific team.

  4. Praise those individuals, by name, who were responsible for the success.
Avoid commending only the division head or team leader. If you do, you lose the opportunity to shine the spotlight on everyone who contributed.
