Baby-boomer researcher Ken Dychtwald says the following two traits of mature people explain why they make excellent job candidates:

Heightened self-awareness. Mature people know who they are, what they do well and what they love to do. They’ve gained the courage to follow their hearts.

Greater risk tolerance. They’re no longer afraid to fail. The fear of looking silly or being ridiculed by others makes no difference anymore.
