Surround yourself with truthful people — Business Management Daily: Free Reports on Human Resources, Employment Law, Office Management, Office Communication, Office Technology and Small Business Tax Business Management Daily
Adolf Hitler was not only an evil leader, he was an inefficient one, too. Instead of surrounding himself with people who brought him actual news of how his war was progressing, he cultivated an entourage of favor-seekers who lied to him and told him what he wanted to hear about how well his war was progressing. He lived in a fantasy world, making decisions that had no relation to reality.
The lesson? As a leader, surround yourself with people who tell you the truth. Even better, get out and see for yourself instead of trusting people to convey the news.
