Joe Oberweis, president of Oberweis Dairy of North Aurora, has filed an injunction to stop the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from airing ads accusing the company of employing illegal immigrants.

Oberweis believes the ads are aimed at his father, Jim Oberweis, the Republican congressional candidate hoping to win the seat of former U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Dennis Hastert in the 14th Congressional District.

Joe Oberweis says the ads, run by the committee, are untrue. “Politics are politics, but at the end of the day, I’ve got to stand up and defend our business,” he said.

Final note:
The White House has announced it will soon take another crack at updated regulations aimed at employers that hire illegal immigrants.
