Starbucks recently settled a lawsuit brought by assistant store managers who had accused the coffee company of denying them overtime wages in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Judge Keith Ellison of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas approved the settlement, which was drafted just a few days before the case was scheduled to go to court.

James Falcon, a former Starbucks assistant manager, filed the suit three years ago to recover overtime compensation. A settlement was eventually reached between Starbucks and 356 of its assistant managers.
