Darrell Gilyard, head of 700-member Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church, is in hot water for a second time over charges of sexual misconduct with members of his flock.

The 45-year-old pastor is on leave after a mother filed a report with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office alleging that Gilyard sent obscene text messages to her underage daughter’s cell phone.

Gilyard was a rising star at Victory Baptist Church in Richardson, TX, before resigning his ministry there in 1991 over allegations that he had slept with church members. He joined Shiloh two years later. The church has placed him on leave pending an investigation.
