A congressional proposal would require retirement plan service providers to disclose all conflicts of interest to help employers and participants decide whether it’s the plan for them.

The legislation, introduced by U.S. Rep. George Miller, D-CA, also would require plan sponsors to use easy-to-understand language to disclose all the fees they charge participants and provide detailed information about the plan’s risks and returns on investments.
