Two former mutual fund managers are suing Prudential Financial, claiming the company violated state and federal whistle-blower laws.

The managers allege Prudential tried to refocus the objectives of the JennisonDryden Municipal Series Funds, which they managed from current income to price appreciation to beat a competing fund.

The managers said that when they complained, Prudential “engaged in conduct designed to isolate, embarrass and harass [them] into resigning.”

The managers seek reinstatement or damages plus back pay and fees.
