Question: Someone on the Forum suggested using a controlling calendar. Where can I find information on/templates for this type of calendar?  Is there an electronic version? It sounds like it might be of great assistance to me.

I have To Do lists. I have my planner. I have my calendar at home and at work. How does everyone else try to keep track of their duties for work and home? I don't feel comfortable putting my personal items on my work calendar. Yet, I've read in several places that it's best to keep all the information in one area. How do you accomplish this?

Thanks for your help.  -- An overwhelmed Jeannette

Outlook Calendar allows you to mark items as "Private," which might be an option for you. That's how I manage my personal calendar. I also bought MS Office for my home computer, and am always emailing myself reminders from home and office.

Just an idea. I heard about this the other day from one of our senior management folks when I was thinking about what I wanted on my new computer.... There is a program out there that synchronizes your laptop with certain folders on your work's server. I imagine of course confidentiality and the like would have to be discussed first among the appropriate staff etc., but it's how someone at my work manages his paperwork without having to constantly email files to and from home and without having to synchronize home and work schedules/calendars.

Also, I keep a San-Disk cruzer mini USB drive with me - If you could save your calendar info. onto it from work and then bring it home and do back-ups.... you get the idea.

And of course, you could also try color coding the different parts of your calendar and then sorting the tasks/appointments by color. or by person.

I work for 4-5 bosses (Board) so I am looking forward to reading the responses on this too!
