GroupWise has a very good sytem. You can proxy as many people to view and/or write, post notes, sent recurring appts, etc... I work in a hospital and we use it, as most hackers hit Microsoft products.

I use Outlook for my bosses calendar. It allows both her and I to update when needed and is available for both of us to view. It also allows others to see when she is availble for appointments.

Outlook is probably the best that I have used. I have several doctors that I have to keep up with, so on Outlook each can see their schedule as well as what is on mine. It has worked out great for us.

We also use Outlook. My boss and I can make entries on it, and all the staff can see it. It also allows him to make entries that only he can see, for personal items.

Outlook is perfect if you have an Exchange Server. We're a small office and don't have MS Exchange Server. AirSet (www.airset.com) has a great program and it's free (unless you want it linked to your cell phone). It's perfect for a small office environment.

Google Calendar has similar functionality to Outlook. You can add individuals to the calendar and set their permissions to view, edit or manage. As well as set a calendar to public view. You can also have multiple calendars for different purposes. For example, one for all employees vacation/out of the office times, and another for meetings.
