How do I use the stationery feature in Windows Vista?

Question: “This question is about the Stationery feature for e-mails in Windows. In Windows XP, Outlook Express, I was able to set up many stationery options. But I now have Windows Vista, Windows Mail, and I have been unable to set up the stationery feature for my e-mails. Does anyone know how to do this successfully?” -- Robbie

I don't mean to sound cute, but have you tried Outlook's "HELP" feature?

Yup, I tried that first. All Help does is send me down a blind alley. Then I tried to find the info on Microsoft's website to no avail. Then I tried to contact DELL, the people who sold me my computer with the software bundled onto it. Their technicians could not help me solve the problem either. Microsoft will not touch the problem because the Windows Vista/Mail was purchased (bundled) through an outside vendor. So, I'm still unable to use the feature!

I don't have Windows Vista, but heard it's not very intuitive. I got this from
http//:windowshelp.microsoft.com

1. Open Windows Mail by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Mail.

2. Click the Message menu, point to New Message Using, and then click Select Stationery.

3. In the Select Stationery dialog box, click the stationery design that you want to use, and then click OK.

A new message window opens and displays the stationery you selected.

To do customized stationary:

1. Open Windows Mail by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Mail.

2. Click the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Compose tab.

3. Under Stationery, click Create New, and then follow the instructions.

Thank you for your help, Cindy. Unfortunately, the steps you have given do not work on Windows Vista Mail. I had already tried the steps you offered on previous attemps. Actually, I need to find someone who is currently using Windows Vista that has mastered this problem. But thanks again, I appreciate your assistance.
