New USERRA poster released, but replacing your old poster isn’t required

Contrary to what you may be hearing from poster companies, U.S. employers do not need to replace their workplace posters that notify workers of their rights under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).

In October, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) issued an updated version of the “Notice of Your Rights Under USERRA” poster that included some technical changes.

But the DOL says employers can continue to use the version that was released in 2005. The new poster can be found at www.dol.gov/vets/programs/userra.
