Make peace with your leave

in Human Resources,Maternity Leave Laws

Q: Just before my baby was due, I rushed to get my work done. But I left lots of unfinished business for my co-workers. Now I’m on maternity leave but I feel bad about work. Should I offer to work during my leave, or send gifts to the people who must work extra hard in my absence?

A: Writing a nice note to each person seems sufficient. Express appreciation for their willingness to step up while you’re away. And emphasize how much you look forward to rejoining the team.
