Q: I know I should delegate, but every time I hand off an assignment it turns into a disaster. I spend more time fixing what’s broken than if I did it myself. Am I crazy, or should I accept that delegating isn’t for me?

A: Neither. Delegating is supposed to be hard, at least at first. Problems are par for the course. You must persevere, keep training employees and dangle incentives so they’re motivated to deliver. Ideally, try to excite workers about taking on more projects. Don’t dump drudge tasks on them.
