Close the gap between the leader you are and the leader you want to be, with this four-step exercise:
  1. Identify your “ideal self” by pinpointing your core values.

  2. Identify your “real self” (how others see you) by asking them to name your core values.

  3. Devise a plan to bring your two selves together by reducing discrepancies between the two.

  4. Cultivate close relationships with people who offer honest feedback as you navigate your process of change.
