Ensure buy-in in 3 ‘paring’ steps

Induce people to buy into a detailed plan by boiling it down into digestible bits. Here’s how:
  1. Condense your plan to one written page.

  2. Cross out verbiage until the plan fits on an index card.

  3. Recite the plan’s description aloud and make sure you can explain it in the time it takes for a typical elevator ride.
If you can do that, you can present your goal compellingly to others.
